A viral video has touched the hearts of many people around the world. It is about how a training session for a cross-country event turned into a rescue mission. Now, that doesn’t happen on a daily basis. How often have you read “Cyclist Rescues Pup” in the newspaper?
In Argentina, Damian Macchi was out on his bike. He was training for a cross-country event. And, he did this in one of the quiet areas close to where he lived. While cycling, he saw something move in a nearby grassy area.
Usually, he would ignore such a thing, but Damian felt like he needed to check this out. He didn’t know what was in the grass, but he knew that he might be needed to help. So, he stopped to investigate just what moved the grass.
He hesitantly started walking towards the spot where he saw the grass move. And, it was there that he saw a puppy sitting all alone. The area was deserted, so he was sure that there was no one with the puppy.
The little fellow sensed that Damian didn’t want to harm him, so she made her way to the Good Samaritan cyclist. She started whimpering, perhaps to thank Damian for stopping to help her.

The video shows how Damian decided to take the puppy with him while he was on his bike. The puppy was snuggled tight in his arms while he pedaled his way to his house. This pup is not the first animal that Damian has rescued. He has a history of rescuing animals even before this puppy.
When they reached Damian’s house, Damian took the puppy to a vet for a thorough check-up. He also shared the puppy’s story online. After a few days, the pup that Damian rescued was adopted. She is now known as Juanita.
Juanita is quite a happy puppy. If it weren’t for Damian and his kind heart, this puppy just may not be enjoying life to the degree that she is right now.
