Meet Mika, a very sweet but possessive pup. Ever since he was tiny, Mika has had a strong love for his toys. It’s normal for dogs to gain attachment with certain items and some dogs even view them as their friends.
But as for Mika, he gets a little too defensive when anyone tries to borrow them. This dog refuses to be separated from his toys for any reason.
Vanessa and her family have noticed how protective Mika becomes of everything he gets his paws on. Some might even call his attitude possessive instead of protective.
Dog Refuses To Be Separated From His Toys, Even When They Must Be Laundered
Vanessa once related a story of when a random sock accidentally dropped to the ground while doing the laundry. Mika quickly took the sock and guarded it against everyone.
But even though Mika seems rough when it comes to his toys, he is actually very gentle when playing with them. Through the years, Mika has gathered quite a collection of toys for himself.
It is easy to imagine how happy he is with it. He loves spending time with each of his toys and occasionally cuddles with them. Even when he gets hyper, Mikah will play with them while making sure that he never damages his beloved toys.
Vanessa and her family noticed that Mika’s toys were getting smelly and dirty. They wanted to wash the toys. But, it had become a difficult task to even get near the toys if Mika was around. He wouldn’t allow anyone else near his toys.
So Vanessa’s mom planned the perfect opportunity to wash Mika’s toys without upsetting him. They took Mika out for a walk. As soon as they left the house, Vanessa’s mom took his toys and gave them a quick but thorough scrub.
Mika was totally clueless about what had happened in his absence. He returned home to the sight of his toys hanging on the laundry line.
Now his toys were all clean and fresh. However, in Mika’s eyes, his toys must’ve looked totally helpless. He refused to go inside the house without them. So, as his toys dried, Mika diligently sat on guard near the toys and waited.
Vanessa was amused by Mika’s behavior. So much so that she shared a photo of Mika sitting near his toys with a serious face on social media.
Eventually, when all the toys were completely dry, Mika happily went inside the house with all his toys. He was eager to cuddle up with them again.
