When your eyes haven’t opened yet, you operate purely on your functioning senses. Little sister Sally uses them to stay close to her big brother, Safari. The bigger pup keeps his tiny sister safe and happy.
These two are inseparable despite Safari being an alpha and Sally, a runt. If we were Bridget, their mom, we would be proud of these two as well.
Bridget’s a two-year-old Labrador adopted from a shelter. When she was rescued, her owners thought that they brought home only one dog.
A couple of weeks later, out popped the most vigorous litter ever. You could say that it took Bridget’s owners by surprise, but they accepted all of them with loving hearts.
No wonder Bridget thrived with owners who loved her and her pups unconditionally. Luckily, her puppies inherited her optimistic and loving nature. Safari took after his mother, providing additional sibling support to his little sister.
We don’t know how Bridget did it, but she did a great job with Safari. Even if he’s the biggest one in the litter, he didn’t take advantage of it.
In return, Sally follows big brother around, even with eyes still closed. When she senses that her brother’s not nearby, she frets.
When Sally wanders far away, Bridget jumps to reunite little Sally with her siblings. Sensing that it won’t be long before the runt seeks her brother, mom takes wandering Safari back to the nest too.
Little Sally settles down when she recognizes her beloved big bro’s scent close to her. While Safari prefers roaming around on his own, he knows his tiny sister needs him.
So he indulges his sibling, stretching out beside her to reassure her. The gang of little hooligans snoozes in peace, warming our hearts with the sight of them sleeping.
Thanks to mom Bridget’s example, this litter will grow up with a strong sense of responsibility. Excellent work, everyone!
