The most common things that a loving dog owner does are to give food and shelter to their dogs. They make sure they get some form of exercise regularly and that their grooming needs are met.

Dogs can sometimes be unpredictable. Although carrying a large dog up an escalator isn’t something we are often expected to do, it can happen. And, this happens more often than you might imagine.

Just recently, a young man took his golden retriever with him to the mall. After strolling around for quite some time, they came to the escalator.

As the man was about to step on it, suddenly, his dog sat down and refused to take another step. The man tugged on the dog’s leash, encouraging him to walk towards the escalator.

However, the dog still refused and remained seated. It was as if she was saying to her owner, “I don’t want to get on it! Please do not make me”. The dog refuses to get on the escalator.

At this point, a lot of people saw them and were curious about what the man was going to do next. It is amusing to see how someone deals with a dog (or a toddler) refusing to do as the owner (parent) asks. Most of us have been in a similar situation, right?

The man thought quickly and did what any loving owner would do. Without a moment’s hesitation, he picked up the big dog in his arms like a big baby. He returned to the escalator with his huge dog cuddled in his arms and proceeded to the next floor.

My education, experiences in showing, breeding, and developing pedigree-based breeding programs for others gives me a strong background upon which to base articles of interest to most dog lovers. However, it is my great love for dogs that gives me the passion to share them with other dog lovers.
